My eyes stung as my mascara dripped into my eyes. It was 90 degrees outside; too hot to have a graduation ceremony. For all the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, summer had begun. I watched them run out of their classrooms, smiling wildly, and planning their three month break with all their friends. For me, I partially dreaded and eagerly awaited the end of high school.
